Determine how many weeks you have until your exam date. Ideally, you want 4-8 weeks of study time. Count backwards from your exam date and mark your start date on a calendar.

Multiply your weeks available by 7-10 hours per week. For example, 6 weeks × 10 hours = 60 total study hours. This is your study budget.

Allocate your study hours across the 10 NHIE sections based on their exam weight. Structural Systems (15%) gets more time than Appliances (8%).

Reserve at least 40% of your total study time for practice questions. If you have 60 hours, dedicate 24+ hours to answering and reviewing practice questions.

Schedule three 4-hour blocks in your final 2-3 weeks for full 200-question practice exams. Simulate real testing conditions: quiet environment, timed, no breaks.

Reserve your final week for review only—no new material. Focus on weak areas identified in practice exams and review previously missed questions.
